This is my first Halloween book to ever read (as an adult) and I loved it!!! Carolyn Arnold wrote a delightfully classic mystery! This is book 11 in her book series but I was able to read it as a stand alone but I'm pretty sure I will be getting the first 10 books now!

I immediately fell in love with Sean and Sara as they prepare the haunted house for a children's fund raiser they put together. Unfortunately the death of the reporter covering their story is found dead. Sara immediately has a bad feeling about it and because of that, her and Sean end up taking the case! These two start to investigate this mystery but it has to be done discretely since the local police are still investigating. There are many different twists and turns that kept me on my toes!

This book was the perfect book to kick off October with! I curled up with a soft blanket and a cup of hot chocolate and enjoyed this warm and cozy old fashioned mystery! The characters were easy to fall in love with and the story line was easy to follow. I immediately felt invested in the characters and the story.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars and recommend this book to all of my friends who love Halloween!!!! It's a perfect addition to your Halloween festivities!
