This book is part of a series, so I did feel a little lost at first. I had a difficult time feeling connected to the story but by chapter 3, I was hooked! Madison's character is realistic and goes through the effects of trauma that a real human would go through after being almost murdered and threatened. She is emotionally invested in this mystery and that's what draws you into the action taking place. If you are a reader of thrillers, then you will love this book! It will keep you on your toes and draw you in! This book has great balance of thrill and love, making it even more interesting. Madison's drive to solve the case and save her loved ones is riveting.
