IN the End By John Mefford

Another awesome book written by John W. Mefford. I gave IN the End a four out of five stars. I was immediately intrigued with the story line and enjoyed every moment of this read. In this book, Ivy is looking for the teenage daughter of an illegal immigrant mother and father. They are afraid to report her missing to the police, in fear that they would be deported. They have already lost a son a year ago and are fearful of going through losing their daughter now. Even though the parents have painted a picture of a well-behaved good girl, nothing is really adding up about her. There's a mystery between who Mia (the missing daughter) really is and what's really going on at her school. Not only are there huge question marks all over this story, but there are three murdered students and two other missing girls from Mia's school. Could it get any more bizarre? They must find out who is behind the chaos and why!

I enjoyed reading how eager Ivy, Christina and Stan were in the search to finding Mia. Each character had their own way of doing things, but all had the intensity to do what needed to be done! While reading this book, I felt connected to each character and I really became invested in their individual story line. John Mefford's writing is brilliant! You understand who each character is and you can clearly see each location as you are reading along. I always feel like I walked into a real life action story when I read his books.

This book is filled with action, love, deception, sadness and hope! I encourage any action lover to read this book and the others before it! The characters are well written and the story line is riveting. I cannot wait for the new Ozzie Novak series by John W. Mefford!
